Concealed carry at work

Looking for opinions from people that carry concealed at work. I know many employers do not allow this practice due to a liability issue. So I am looking for people's opinion in wether they should be able to carry at work. Also do you notify your employer if you do?

Discussion with coworker regarding guns

For many years there has been a coworker that would give me grief for owning many different types of firearms and feels that no one should own one except for the police. This same person felt that anytime he would need protection he would call the police and they would respond. Up until this point he never needed a firearm for self defense. My coworker came home from work and about two hours later found that someone was trying to gain access into the house from the garage. At this time he had called the police and waited for them to arrive. The intruder was able to gain access and was able to get his wallet and take off before the police got to his home. Now he is in a hurry to purchase a firearm to protect himself. So I got the pleasure of teaching him gun safety and proper shooting techniques. It is amazing how one situation can change a persons view on firearms.

Fire line Whitehall Pa

I was looking for a warm place to do some target shooting during the winter months and this place seems to be the winner. The Fireline is a indoor shooting range that has several lanes so even if you go during a busy time most likely you will be able to get a lane. The rental fee is 15.00 per hour witch is reasonable compared to other indoor ranges in the area. Targets start at 30 cents witch is a steal. There are about 30 guns from witch you can rent and try your skill in the range. The gun rentals are 8 dollars an hour and you can try as many guns as you want for that 8 dollars. The only thing additional you have to pay for is the ammunition for the rentals. Also one big plus for this range is you may bring your own ammunition witch some ranges are against. Have a great day everyone!

Springfield XD 40 Cal.

This is my primary carry gun that I have had for about five years now.  I have about 4000 rounds through it and it has never missed a beat.  The gun is very simple to disassemble and clean in a short period of time.  The gun when purchased was about $560.00 and came with a holster and 3 magazines.  I will post a picture of the target with the grouping so you can see that the accuracy is great.  I currently carry the gun with a iwb holster that is great for comfort and for concealing.

Shooting the Chiappa 1911-22

With the current economy and the price of ammunition I had to begin looking for another gun to shoot on a regular basis without breaking my wallet at the range.  So I had ordered the Chiappa 1911-22 off the internet and had it send to my local FFL.  After going to the gun store and picking it up I rushed off to the range.  I was presently surprised with the weapon.  My grouping was relatively good for the first time shooting the gun.  I have put about 500 rounds through and has not skipped a beat so far.  Anyone with any question or comments please let me know.
